Anrealage

Fashion | Digital Design | Branding

Overview

Japanese designer Kunihiko Morinaga, the mind behind ANREALAGE, blends the real, the unreal, and the passage of time into a brand philosophy that challenges traditional fashion boundaries.

Guided by the mantra “God is in the details,” ANREALAGE is known for meticulous craftsmanship that transforms ordinary garments into extraordinary works of design. Every element from fabrics and patterns to the choreography of runway shows and the architecture of flagship stores is reimagined each season to create immersive, multidimensional experiences.

This study examines how ANREALAGE’s approach to detail, innovation, and concept-driven fashion redefines what it means to design “real clothes” with an unreal edge.

The Low Resolution collection translates the digital age into fashion, featuring exaggerated pixelated imagery printed across modern silhouettes. Staying true to ANREALAGE’s mantra, “God is in the details,” the collection challenges viewers to reconsider how they see and process visual information.

The promotional video begins with everyday Tokyo street scenes, slowly dissolving into pixelated fragments. These fragments seamlessly transform into the pixel prints that cover the garments, a visual journey that blurs the line between reality and design. The effect is both playful and thought-provoking, compelling viewers to look closer and notice the hidden beauty within distortion.
